FAQ
Lux Lite is an unattended booth, typically there will not be an attendant during the rental period of this booth.
Why? It's so easy and intuitive to use! We do set it up and pick it up. There is a small sign that comes with the booth that has our contact number in the exceedingly rare instance assistance would be needed.
Lux Lite is digital only. Guests share their images by text, email, or airdrop. Don't let the no-print concept deter you, though! This booth is an interactive experience for your guests and they have a blast with it!
You're welcome to bring props if you'd like! Ideally we want more faces than props in the photos, so we don't include props in this package.
No, since this is a drop-off style booth we can not move the booth during any portion of the day. Each booking is one location only. Once the booth is set up that is where it will stay for the duration of the rental.
- The booth needs access to a three prong outlet.
- The booth can not be outside (this include patios, tents, porches, etc. - this is to protect the booth from direct sunlight and weather).
- The footprint of the full set up is about 8ft x 8ft x 8ft
- This is important - all backdrop supplied by Lux must be placed along a solid wall. The backdrops don't attach to the wall, but it makes a support system as many guests tend to walk backwards into the backdrops - this this will stop the backdrop from repeatedly getting pushed back or falling over.
Some great spots are near the an hors d'oeuvres or dessert table, near entry/exit doors, and somewhere near the restrooms or bar. These are all high traffic areas. We don't want to be too out of the way, but don't think guests won't find us - they do! 😊
The Live Gallery is accessible during and after the event. Guests get this link when they text their photo to themselves. We'll email this link to you before and after the event, too. This booth has its on WiFi connection, so photos are typically uploaded immediately. In the event space is underground (lower level ballrooms), or in a place where a WiFi signal is spotty, photos will queue then send once the signal is reconnected.
You can choose to not have a gallery. We do encourage you to have one since guests want to see their photos and the fun from the night! This gallery is only accessible to those that have used the photo booth at that event or have the direct link. You are welcome to not have a guest-accessible gallery and keep all photos private.
It's super simple. Once you use it, you'll see how easy it is.

Do it again if you want! There's no limit, guests can use the booth as much as they'd like within the rental period. The more photos, the better!
If someone doesn't like the photo they've taken, there's a retake button, too!
I'll break this down in a couple parts, this can vary -
Most often we will set up the booth prior to guests arriving, even if we have a later start time. This is preferred, but isn't always necessary - it just depends on where the booth will be set up and how casual the event is.
There are some instances where setting up prior to guests arrival isn't necessary. If you elect the three hour package and the booth is only open after dinner, then setting up may happen during dinner if we're set up in a different room from where the guests are eating. In this case, guests wouldn't see us loading in and setting up, so it would be preferred to set up during this time.
The set up time will be finalized closer to the event once both of our timelines are complete.
Payment is due any time prior to the event. The invoice will be sent after the Booth Prep Questionnaire is filled out (this is sent 10 weeks prior to the event).
No deposit is required to book, either. We just need a signed contract to lock in your date.
The invoice will be sent through Square, they keep your payment information private and you'd receive a receipt after payment.
-6% Sales Tax is added to the invoice per PA state law
If your organization has a tax exempt status I will need a copy of the Tax Exempt Certificate prior to sending the invoice. This is required to have on file for tax records.
Absolutely! You don't have to decide right away (this is something you'll elect later when we send the Booth Prep Questionnaire), but a popular choice with Lux Lite is to do black and white photos.
